Bio
Dr Suzanne Ryan graduated in Medicine from University College Dublin in 1991. She spent 5 years in Clinical Medicine and Oncology, completing my MRCP, during which time she developed a passion for Radiology, as she realised what an important path of the patient’s journey this specialty has become. She then moved to the UK to study further at Kings College Hospital, gaining her FRCR in 2001.
As part of her interest in body radiology, she has also developed a pelvic floor imaging service, to include endo anal ultrasound, perineal ultrasound and MR and fluoroscopic defecating proctograms. In women’s imaging, she performs Transvaginal ultrasound and Hysterosalpingograms. She is the lead of GI Radiology in Kings College Hospital reporting 3000 plain films a year.
Dr Suzanne Ryan has published on GI imaging and ultrasound contrast imaging and lectured at national and international level. She trains junior colleagues and attends national and international meetings frequently to ensure that she provides the most up to date and relevant service to her patients.
