Bio
Dr Teresa Castiello is a passionate clinician driven by a desire to prevent, diagnose early, and expertly manage cardiovascular disease. She believes in balancing clinical excellence with academic and managerial duties, focusing on cardiomyopathy, heart failure (HF), and advanced cardiac imaging, particularly cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR).
Dr Castiello qualified in Medicine and Surgery with her MD with honours from La Sapienza University of Rome in 2001. She specialised in Cardiology at University Campus Bio-Medico in 2009. After three humanitarian missions in Sudan, Kenya and the Middle East, she honed her skills as a consultant in HF and Cardiac Rehabilitation at San Raffaele in Rome, before moving to London where she completed fellowships in HF (Clinic and Research), advanced imaging (cardiac MRI) and Cardiomyopathy.
